The Department of Psychology at Muş Alparslan University began admitting undergraduate students in the 2021–2022 academic year. Having initially commenced its educational activities with five faculty members, the department has since strengthened its academic staff and currently operates with a total of nine members: one Professor, one Associate Professor, three Assistant Professors (Dr. Faculty Members), one Lecturer (PhD), and three Research Assistants.
As part of its ongoing academic development, the department has expanded its programs and, as of the 2025–2026 academic year, has started admitting students to its Master’s program in General Psychology. This development represents a significant step toward enhancing the department’s capacity for graduate education and research.
Courses offered by the Department of Psychology are conducted in the Aziz Sancar Classrooms of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, where two classrooms are actively in use. All classrooms are equipped with smart boards. In addition, the department has an experimental laboratory designed to support students’ practical training and research activities.
