The main objective of the Psychology undergraduate program, which was established in Muş Alparslan University, Faculty of Science and Literature based on formal education in 2021-2022 academic year, is to produce graduates who are able to provide qualified services in the various sub-fields of psychology. In this way, it is aimed to gain our country the professional staff who are able to follow the current applied and scientific research-based studies conducted in the field and apply them at a basic level.

The Department of Psychology currently has a total of six academics including three assistant professors and three research assistants.

In order for students to graduate from the department, they must complete 240 ECTS credits and prepare a graduation paper on the selected subjects. As a result of the training process, it is planned to give a total of 53 courses, 166 credits, and 243 ECTS.

Mission Statement: It is aimed to train psychologists, who have sufficient theoretical background about both general psychology and special sub-fields of psychology with undergraduate and graduate programs, are efficient in the field of practice, are able to follow the current literature in the science of psychology, have the ability to conduct scientific research and publication, and work in accordance with ethical values in both practice and research in the light of scientific knowledge.

Vision Statement: In the next decade, it is aimed to become a department that has graduates who are able to apply their contemporary psychology knowledge in the field of practice within the framework of ethical values and contributes to the advancement of modern psychology through graduate programs and scientific research.
