Mus Alparslan University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology has started education and training activities at the undergraduate level in the 2021-2022 academic year. Education and training activities continue with the admission of 62 students every year. In the Psychology department, there are Departments of Applied Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Social Psychology. The Psychology Department continues its education with one associate professor, four doctoral faculty members and three research assistants.
Graduates of the program are entitled to receive the title of psychologist. Graduates work in hospitals, universities, nurseries and kindergartens, nursing homes, penal and detention houses, family courts, psychotechnical evaluation centers, special education centers, rehabilitation centers within various ministries such as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of National Education. It can be employed in a wide range of sectors such as consulting centers, research centers, industries and organizations, human resources, advertising and media sectors.
Students must complete 240 ECTS credits to graduate from the department. As a result of the training process, it is planned to give a total of 53 courses, 166 credits and 243 ECTS.

The mission of our department is, in the light of scientific knowledge, to have sufficient theoretical background in both general psychology and special sub-fields of psychology with undergraduate and graduate programs, to be active in the field of application, to follow the current literature in psychological science, to have the ability to conduct scientific research and publications, and to provide both practical and practical knowledge. The aim is to train psychologists who work in accordance with ethical values in their research fields.
The vision of our department is to become, within the next ten years, a department that has graduates who can competently apply contemporary psychology knowledge within the framework of ethical values at undergraduate and graduate levels, and that contributes to the progress of modern psychology with the education it offers at the graduate level and the scientific research carried out.
