The Program Educational Objectives of our department are defined as follows:

PEO-1: To educate qualified individuals who have a strong command of the fundamental concepts and theories of psychology, possess advanced scientific research and problem-solving skills, adhere to ethical principles, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, have effective communication skills, and can contribute to society.

PEO-2: To conduct research that contributes to the body of scientific knowledge in psychology at national and international levels; and to apply and disseminate these findings in ways that serve the social, cultural, economic, and scientific development of society.

PEO-3: To foster individuals who are interested in psychology, capable of critical and analytical thinking, and committed to lifelong learning by encouraging active participation in learning processes through diverse methods and practices.

PEO-4: As a primary aim of undergraduate education, to provide optimal academic and practical conditions for acquiring knowledge in different subfields of psychology, using scientific methods, developing analytical thinking, and gaining applied skills.

PEO-5: To educate individuals who possess the fundamental knowledge, methods, and skills required in psychology for academic or other career goals; who can evaluate human behavior from a multidimensional perspective; who can produce scientific and ethical solutions to encountered problems; and who aim for professional development and societal contribution.

As a result of achieving these educational objectives, students who successfully complete the undergraduate program are awarded the title of “Psychologist.” Graduates who obtain sufficient scores in the ALES exam and meet foreign language proficiency requirements for graduate programs may continue to postgraduate education by successfully passing interviews and scientific examinations.

In addition, graduates who complete pedagogical formation training and achieve sufficient scores in the KPSS Educational Sciences exam may be eligible to work as philosophy group teachers or psychology teachers within the Ministry of National Education.

Our graduates have broad employment opportunities in various fields such as human resources, education, health, forensic psychology, clinical psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, research companies, non-governmental organizations, social service institutions, and both public and private sectors.
